The History of Northwich Library

Northwich Library was designed by A.E. Powles and donated in 1909 by Sir John Brunner, the town’s MP.
This timber-framed building in the Tudor style was designed, like others along Witton Street and High Street, to be moved or jacked up in case of subsidence due to brine extraction.
