Evening Talk: Toys and Games through the Ages
15th November 2012

Friends' Event: Evening Talk

Raymond Rush will talk about ’Toys and Games through the ages’ and he will bring a huge number of toys and games for us to look at.

Raymond has been farming in the Macclesfield area for over 50 years. He has a background in engineering as well as farming. He takes services regularly at All Saints Church in Siddington.

Raymond has been a regular contributor on Radio Stoke on country matters. This was followed by  television appearances on BBC North West demonstrating a variety of country events such as milking his Guernsey cows, ploughing matches and country weather forecasting. He was then asked to write monthly column for a local newspaper. These articles were then combined into the first ‘Countrywise’ book. There are now 5 ‘Countrywise’ books, each £6.95 each. This then led to Raymond scripting 11 programmes for Channel Four TV called ‘What’s in a Word’

Raymond gives a wide variety of talks and gives frequent demonstrations on the making and history of corn dollies.
