Workhouse Weekend Workshop:

With the generous support of the Friends we are able to arrange for two headline speakers who will be taking part in this very special Workhouse Workshop.  Peter Higginbotham and Dr Paul Carter will be presenting illustrated talks on Workhouse Food and Workhouse Punishment respectively.

Workhouse Weekend Study Day:

Saturday 22nd June 2013   -   9:45 to 4:00 

Weaver Hall Museum & Workhouse is delighted to present a day of special interest examining the history of the workhouse. Guest speakers, including nationally recognised experts in this field of study, will be attending this unique day.

The day will cost £15 which includes a buffet lunch.

You must book in advance with the museum.

Workhouse Weekend Living History Day:

Sunday 23rs June 2013  -  2:00 to 5:00:  

A day for family participation when visitors will have the opportunity to find out what it was like to live in a workhouse on a day-to-day basis. They will be able to follow in the steps of paupers, meet the workhouse master, take a lesson in the schoolroom and help inmates with chores.

Standard entry fees to the museum apply.

These are £3 adult, £2 concession, £1.50 children, £7 family.
