With Cruel Times in Between
25th April 2015

Starting at 7.30pm

Weaver Hall Museum and Workhouse are delighted to present With Cruel Times in Between a lyrical and beautiful portrait of Newfoundland culture as painted by the rhythmic writings of one of Newfoundland’s most beloved poets, Al Pittman.

A fantastic opportunity to enjoy an international company with six performers, harmony singing and ensemble performance simply staged. Nostalgic and tender human stories of pioneering lives, growing up in an era of tough hardships and strong communities, of childhood lives dominated by the weather and landscape, of being forced to relinquish a way of life in the face of ‘progress’.

“It’s beautiful, very funny and really inventive”, Claire Smith CRTA

Adult ticket £7.50. Concession 16 and under £5.50
