The History of Northwich Library
29th November 2017

Between 3pm and 4pm ....

Northwich Library was designed by A.E. Powles and donated in 1909 by Sir John Brunner, the town’s MP.

This timber-framed building in the Tudor style was designed, like others along Witton Street and High Street, to be moved or jacked up in case of subsidence due to brine extraction.

Come and discover more about the library’s intriguing history.

Cost £1.50 with a complimentary tea or coffee from 2.30pm.
