Exhibition : Trapped in Time

Life on Earth has faced many challenges oevr the past 600 million years – from meteorties to volcanoes turning the air toxic – as a result of which much of life that has lived on Earth is now extinct. 

Discover what may have caused life to become extinct and look at the theory that mass extinction occurs every 26 million years. 

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday. 

Also on Monday from 10am to 5pm on school holidays and Bank Holidays (except December). 

Entrance to the temporary exhibition is free. 

There is a small charge when visiting the other galleries at the Weaver Hall Museum and Workhouse. 

These are £3 adult, £2 concession, £1.50 children, £7 family.
