A Prehistoric Landscape: Archaeology of the Mid-Cheshire Ridge
Cheshire’s Sandstone Ridge, once described as ‘the backbone of Cheshire’, is one of the most distinctive landscapes in the county. This exhibition explores the earliest human history of the Ridge up to the Roman invasion of AD 43.
The museum’s important prehistoric collections are displayed alongside new research from the Habitats and Hillforts Landscape Partnership Scheme and several community projects.
The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday.
Also on Monday from 10am to 5pm on school holidays and Bank Holidays (except December).
Entrance to this special temporary exhibition is free.
There is a small charge when visiting the other galleries at the Weaver Hall Museum and Workhouse.
These are £3 adult, £2 concession, £1.50 children, £7 family.
Season Tickets are also available for regular visitors.
