On the eve of WW2 Edith Pretty (formerly Dempster of Vale Royal Abbey) would unearth a treasure that would shine a light on Saxon Britain.  This is the story of Edith’s fascinating life and interests that led her to look beneath—a discovery of riches beyond imagination.

7 p.m. for 7:30 p.m. start.

This Friends’ event is free to members.  £3 admission for non-members.
