Friends' Event : Annual General Meeting and Talk
The Friends' AGM will take place at 7:30 p.m. and afterwards at 8pm there will be a talk by The Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire David Briggs, M.B.E.,K.St.J. entitled The Monarchy in 2012
The duties of the Lord-Lieutenant range from arranging Royal visits to the County to presenting honours and awards on behalf of Her Majesty. See photograph below. Being Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Justices of the Peace and Honorary Colonel of the Cheshire Army Cadets. Encouraging good nominations for honour, both personal and for The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service and for The Queen's Award for Enterprise.
7 pm for 7.30pm start.
